GMDSS 2024
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has implemented several improvements and modernizations to the regulations governing the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), which is the communication system used in emergency situations on board ships. These updates aim to improve the safety and efficiency of communication at sea by incorporating modern techniques and will become effective on Jan. 1, 2024.
REMOTE TECHNICAL SUPPORT
The shipping industry is trending on digitization and the use of remote technical support is moving from myth to reality. We will present the latest innovations enabling ship’s crew to be the eyes of our NavCom experts onshore, allowing remote technical support anytime, anywhere.
MARITIME SAFETY USING AI
Incidents or accidents happen at sea and are often due to human mistakes. We are introducing cameras using artificial intelligence to detect obstacles in the water and help improve the safety of navigation.
